Ensuring Children Have Access to Nutritious Meals and Snacks

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides Growing Seeds Learning Center resources so that we can continuously provide nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children who are enrolled  in our program.

Studies show that if a child does not have balanced meals throughout the day, it is very difficult for the child to be focused and contribute to their educational development mentally and physically.  At Growing Seeds Learning Center your child will have at least 2 full meals and 3 snacks a day.  The meals and snacks provided are highly nutritious and help to ensure that your child will have the energy in which he or she needs to maintain a healthy cognitive and physical state of being.

We serve meals that appeal to our pickiest eaters while maintaining the food guidelines as established by the federal government for providing proper nutrition.  We encourage you to review information on the type of meals that we provide and even try a recipe at home!  Please click on the logo below to access the USDA Healthy Kids Cookbook or review one of the recipes we have posted for the month!

We also invite you to check out the Nibbles Health Monthly Newsletter!  This month we are eating COLORFUL FRUITS!
